 Dr. Watson Minimize

Dr. Watson joined the faculty at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in the fall of 1999. She received her B.A. in Biology at Scripps College in Claremont, California and her medical degree from the University of Southern California. She underwent her residency training in General Surgery and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in Chicago, she received the privilege of training with internationally-renowned facial plastic surgeons M. Eugene Tardy, M.D. and Dean Toriumi, M.D. and nasal reconstructive surgeon Gary Burget, M.D. Dr. Watson is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Watson is actively involved in teaching facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in the residency program and participates in several committees for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Watson is also a recognized artist, having had her work displayed at art exhibitions and published in journals and magazines. Her artistic work includes drawing, painting, sculpting, and calligraphy. Other extracurricular activities she enjoys are running, hiking, rock climbing, and scuba diving.
